Job description

Role Overview

This role sits between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping solve complex Workday integration and system issues. The consultant will support customers across transformation, implementation, and operational stages of a Workday deployment, bringing strong technical capability and the ability to shape configurations around business and design needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build deep expertise in Workday, including solution design, configuration, testing, and implementation.
  • Assess client goals, budget, and timing to recommend the most suitable solution, while staying flexible as new requirements emerge.
  • Monitor project issues and risks, share progress updates, and escalate concerns as needed across assigned accounts.
  • Lead structured design discussions and make configuration decisions using best practices and a clear understanding of the client’s business needs.
  • Support clients throughout the project lifecycle and help ensure a clean transition from legacy platforms to Workday HCM.
  • Handle several workstreams with limited supervision while keeping the client, project team, and Engagement Manager informed of changes and progress.
  • Take on leadership responsibilities when needed, including acting as a Cognizant or Workday Partner Lead and/or Delivery Assurance Reviewer.
  • Use hands-on system knowledge to load client data, move configuration between tenants, and set up business processes and security.
  • Apply technical skills to transform and map source data into conversion templates using iLoads.
  • Mentor consultants and analysts, including supporting shadowing assignments.
  • Contribute to internal training and share knowledge with colleagues through update sessions and learning forums.

Experience and Education

A bachelor’s degree is required, or an equivalent qualification.

The ideal background includes at least 2 years of Workday functional implementation experience. Additional preferred experience includes 2 to 5 years in Human Resources, Payroll, or Financial software, as well as 2 to 5 years delivering functional solutions in ERP or SaaS environments. Candidates should also have experience gathering business requirements, producing designs and prototypes, testing solutions, and implementing practical business outcomes under multiple deadlines.

Why Consider This Opportunity

  • Work in an entrepreneurial setting that encourages new ideas.
  • Contribute to meaningful and high-quality work.
  • Take part in community outreach and volunteer-focused initiatives.
  • Access learning opportunities that support current performance and career growth.
  • Be part of a global organization with opportunities across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
  • Connect with a wide range of affinity groups.

Values

  • Work as One: collaborate by relying on one another’s strengths.
  • Raise the Bar: aim for excellence in both process and delivery.
  • Dare to Innovate: challenge boundaries and explore new possibilities.
  • Do the Right Thing: act with integrity and make ethical decisions.
  • Own It: take responsibility for outcomes for the company, colleagues, and community.
