About the Role

A rapidly expanding boutique management consulting firm is searching for Operations Consultants to join its North American team based in New York. Supported by investment capital, this firm collaborates with top-tier global clients to tackle complex operational challenges and drive significant business impact. Distinct from conventional strategy consultancies, it integrates strategic insights with practical implementation, assisting clients in enhancing operational areas such as supply chains, procurement, manufacturing, and organizational efficiency. Consultants assume major responsibilities early on, leading workstreams and forging strong client partnerships in dynamic projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses to identify areas for operational enhancements and quantify their potential impact.
• Develop financial models and perform detailed quantitative assessments to back recommendations.
• Redesign and map business processes to boost efficiency and lower costs.
• Collaborate directly with client stakeholders to deploy operational improvements.
• Lead workshops and present insights to senior client executives.
• Manage project workstreams and coordinate with multidisciplinary consulting teams.
• Assist in supplier contract negotiations, sourcing strategy formulation, and cost containment efforts when necessary.
• Produce pragmatic, implementation-ready strategies with measurable return on investment.

Project Scope

Engagements typically last around three months and offer exposure to various industries including manufacturing, industrial sectors, consumer goods, technology, transportation, and more.

Qualifications and Experience

• Prior experience in management consulting, particularly in operations, supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, or transformational projects.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with confidence in handling both financial and operational datasets.
• A background in engineering, mathematics, operations, supply chain management, or related analytical disciplines is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience implementing operational improvements rather than large-scale ERP rollouts.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for communication and stakeholder engagement.
