Welcome from Linnk Group! We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team in Doha, Qatar. This role calls for a professional with over five years of experience who can effectively design, construct, and fine-tune scalable data pipelines and cutting-edge data platforms that facilitate analytics and AI initiatives. This position is offered on a yearly renewable contract basis.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Create and maintain robust ETL and ELT data pipelines.
Develop and implement solutions using Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Databricks technologies.
Administer and optimize relational databases, NoSQL systems, and vector databases such as Pinecone and Weaviate.
Design efficient data models and tune SQL queries for optimal performance.
Maintain high standards of data quality, governance, and ensure efficient pipeline operation.
Collaborate across departments to support AI and analytics projects.

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum of five years experience in Data Engineering roles.
Advanced knowledge of Python programming and SQL querying.
Practical expertise with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Databricks.
Experience working with relational, NoSQL, and vector databases.
Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and schema design.
Preferred: Experience in LLM data preparation, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and semantic search technologies.
Familiarity with Azure OpenAI or similar Generative AI platforms is advantageous.
Awareness and knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.

Additional Information

Employment Location: Doha, Qatar (onsite).
Candidate Preference: Applicants must currently reside in Qatar and be of Arabic or European nationality.
Employment Type: Yearly renewable contract.
