Position Summary

We are actively seeking a full-time Dispatcher to coordinate and oversee Patient Transportation activities through prompt and precise dispatch management. This role is based in Jackson, TN, with a schedule from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm (days may vary, details provided during interview).

Core Responsibilities

• Deliver attentive, one-on-one quality customer service to patients and stakeholders.
• Apply fundamental knowledge of patient transport principles, infection control, and safe body mechanics.
• Develop dispatcher strategies and manage patient transport processes, including transporting patients when needed.
• Supervise the transport team to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks, monitor operational procedures, and resolve service-related issues.
• Handle transportation requests efficiently, prioritizing departmental standards and patient schedules.
• Act as a communication link between Patient Transportation and other hospital departments.
• Manage distribution and collection of pagers, overseeing sign-in/out routines daily.
• Foster positive relationships with patients, their families, visitors, and staff by promoting excellent customer service.
• Address and resolve conflicts or complaints from patients, visitors, employees, and recommend sustainable solutions.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Preferences

Prior experience in a management role is preferred. Candidates must be capable of effectively fulfilling the essential duties of this role, with reasonable accommodations if needed.

Compensation

The position offers a fixed hourly wage of $19.00.
