Overview
This position is part of the Food & Beverage team in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on delivering food and beverage service to guests in the assigned outlet while maintaining a polished, flexible, and attentive approach that reflects the hotel’s service standards and brand values. A key part of the job is to support guest satisfaction, encourage sales through effective upselling, and contribute to a smooth and welcoming outlet operation.
Reporting Line
The role works under the direction of the Assistant Restaurant Manager or Restaurant Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrive on time and present yourself in the required uniform, with neat grooming, polished shoes, and name tag, following the hotel’s dress code and appearance standards.
- Deliver courteous, professional, and efficient service consistently to all guests.
- Carry out all assigned outlet duties and tasks as required.
- Maintain strong knowledge of the hotel’s services and products.
- Build a solid understanding of all food and beverage items offered in the assigned department.
- Confidently explain items, suggest upgrades, and recommend suitable alternatives to support upselling.
- Track operating supplies and equipment, and help minimize spoilage and waste.
- Keep the work area and nearby surroundings clean and well organized at all times.
- Complete the outlet’s opening and closing routines according to established procedures.
- Respond to guest questions in a polite and efficient manner, and pass complaints or feedback to supervisors.
- Escalate guest complaints promptly and follow up with the guest as directed.
- Operate the POS system at the level assigned after training.
- Follow the hotel’s policies and rules, including fire safety, hygiene, health, and workplace safety requirements.
- Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues in the department and across the hotel.
- Participate in staff meetings, departmental training sessions, and hotel-organized training programs.
