Job Overview
The machine operator will be tasked with preparing, operating, overseeing, and maintaining manufacturing machinery to produce goods efficiently, safely, and up to defined quality benchmarks.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare, calibrate, and run manufacturing equipment such as CNC machines and assembly line tools following detailed guidelines and specs.
- Interpret technical documents like blueprints, work instructions, and production timetables.
- Load machines with raw materials and components required for production.
- Monitor machine function during operation to identify malfunctions or deviations from set standards.
- Conduct quality inspections on finished products using precise measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Adjust machine parameters to resolve issues and ensure consistent product quality.
- Carry out regular maintenance tasks and minor repairs to keep equipment running smoothly.
- Maintain detailed records of production data, including output quantities, downtime, and defect rates.
- Uphold workplace organization and cleanliness through 5S methodology.
- Adhere strictly to safety regulations and use all required personal protective equipment.
- Promptly report any equipment failures or potential safety hazards to supervisory personnel.
- Aim to fulfill or surpass production targets while ensuring quality standards are met.
- Work collaboratively with maintenance, quality assurance, and other production teams.
