Role Overview
The Project Manager for Data Centre MEP is responsible for guiding projects from inception to completion, focusing on Tate’s data centre installations across Europe, especially integrating liquid cooling solutions. This role involves on-site visits, problem-solving, coordinating with partners, managing internal workflows, and upholding high standards of customer satisfaction alongside Tate’s sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the design, integration, and installation of MEP products, prioritizing liquid cooling systems.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with teams and stakeholders.
- Continuously monitor project progress to identify and mitigate risks or issues.
- Support the sales team with necessary data for accurate and competitive pricing.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and suppliers to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
- Manage supply chain operations and forecast product needs to avoid delays.
- Provide training and technical support on-site to installation partners across Europe.
- Generate and distribute technical drawings and documentation per company standards.
- Offer technical guidance ensuring impeccable project delivery.
- Maintain strong client relationships to meet and surpass expectations.
- Proactively drive process improvements to boost efficiency, quality, and overall results.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in fields such as Business, Industrial Design, Engineering, or Construction Studies, underpinning both technical and managerial knowledge.
- Minimum three years experience in construction focusing on MEP disciplines within project management or engineering roles.
- Proven success handling complex, customer-centric projects requiring agility, decisiveness, and commercial insight.
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Advanced critical thinking and analytical abilities for anticipating challenges and crafting innovative solutions.
- Willingness and availability for international travel approximately 15-25% of the time to oversee projects and collaborate globally.
