Role Overview

This position offers a pivotal role as the leading technical advocate for Trimble in the Asia-Pacific region. The Sales Engineer will support distribution partners and customers in deploying the Survey and Geospatial technology portfolio, focusing on high-growth sectors such as infrastructure, construction, and geospatial disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide authorized distribution partners across APAC with expert training to demonstrate and implement Trimble's surveying and geospatial products.
• Develop and execute regional go-to-market strategies by interpreting market data into actionable growth initiatives.
• Engage directly with prominent clients to offer technical advice ensuring successful deployment of complex construction and surveying technologies.
• Champion the regional shift toward subscription software products, including Trimble Business Center and Trimble Access.
• Act as a strategic technical advisor by monitoring competitors and market developments to guide product and sales strategy.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Strong technical background in cadastral, topographic, or construction surveying or engineering, with familiarity in digital construction methodologies.
• Experience in sales enablement or technical training, capable of influencing diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in creating digital educational content like tutorials and presentations.
• Flexibility and a results-driven attitude, prepared for substantial regional travel and fast-paced work environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with Trimble Business Center, Trimble Access, or similar Trimble Connect software.
• Well-versed in land development and infrastructure sectors within the Asia-Pacific area.
• Knowledge of terrestrial and mobile laser scanning or photogrammetry workflows.

Work Conditions and Logistics

This role is remote based in Australia, with relocation assistance offered for candidates in New Zealand. The role requires approximately 70% travel in the initial year, settling to about 50% in subsequent years.
