Warehouse Caretaker

About the Role

Oxford Pharmacy Store (OPS), a pharmaceutical wholesaler owned by the NHS, is looking for a dependable and proactive Warehouse Caretaker to ensure the site operates safely, securely, and efficiently at their Banbury facility. This practical position involves managing caretaking and facility responsibilities to maintain compliance and operational readiness of the warehouse. Collaboration with internal teams, contractors, and Trust support services is essential to uphold high standards of health, safety, and security throughout the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily support for caretaking and ensure the warehouse site runs safely and smoothly.
• Serve as the site’s Health and Safety Officer, ensuring adherence to local protocols and Trust policies.
• Manage the cleaning contract, overseeing daily cleaning service delivery and liaising with service providers.
• Coordinate pest control services, monitoring any occurrences and ensuring issues are resolved.
• Arrange and supervise maintenance of essential site equipment such as forklifts, pallet trucks, MEWPs, air conditioning, and refrigerators, working with relevant personnel as needed.
• Oversee servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fire alarms, intruder alarms, fire extinguishers, and other safety systems on site.
