About the Centre
Eden Academy West Lakes is a child-safe workplace focused on protecting, supporting, and empowering every child in its care. The centre operates from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm and provides a warm, stimulating setting designed for learning through play.
The service features naturally lit open-plan rooms, indoor and outdoor play spaces, and a wide range of age-appropriate materials. It caters for up to 120 children, offering an environment where they can explore, develop, and flourish.
Role Overview
As an Educator, you will help young children learn through play, build meaningful relationships, and contribute to a caring team environment. The role calls for creativity, positivity, strong communication, and the ability to work closely with families and colleagues.
Key Duties
- Support children’s learning and development through playful, engaging experiences.
- Set up inviting learning spaces that encourage curiosity, exploration, and discovery.
- Bring a kind, enthusiastic, and proactive approach to daily work.
- Communicate confidently with families and help create strong, lasting relationships.
- Contribute positive energy and a collaborative mindset to the team.
What You Need to Bring
- A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education, or a comparable qualification recognised by ACECQA.
- A valid Working with Children Check.
- Unrestricted right to work in Australia.
- A professional, caring manner and a genuine enthusiasm for early childhood education.
- Comfort and confidence when engaging with children, families, and the wider community.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday across varied shift times, including short-notice on-call cover for unexpected leave.
- Two professional referees, one of whom must be a manager or supervisor from a childcare or education environment.
