Overview
Tata Consultancy Services is looking for a Red Hat Developer to work from Chennai. The role suits professionals with 6 to 10 years of experience who have strong practical exposure to Red Hat Enterprise Linux and OpenShift-based environments, especially in telecom and other mission-critical production setups.
Core Experience
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across RHEL 7/8/9, OpenShift or Kubernetes administration, and application deployment. Hands-on automation experience with Ansible is expected, along with Bash scripting and a working knowledge of Python. The position also calls for solid troubleshooting ability across Linux, containers, and platform-level issues.
Responsibilities
- Build, deploy, and operate applications on RHEL and OpenShift platforms.
- Use Ansible to automate infrastructure tasks and application-related workflows.
- Work with telecom application teams to support scalable and highly available systems.
- Investigate and resolve operating system, container, and platform issues in 24/7 environments.
- Maintain alignment with security, performance, and reliability expectations.
Additional Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux across versions 7, 8, and 9.
- Practical administration experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Linux performance tuning, debugging, and security practices.
- Understanding of telecom-grade systems, high availability, and low-latency platforms.
- Background in production or other mission-critical environments.
