Job Summary

This role is suited to someone who can guide web development work, support a growing business with continuous platform improvements, and act as the primary IT contact for business users when urgent issues need fast resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report to the IT Technical Manager and work in a dotted-line relationship with the Group Head of IT.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, internal colleagues, overseas developers, and vendors to interpret business needs and deliver group initiatives and project goals.
  • Build new features and improve existing business applications and e-commerce platforms.
  • Translate user requirements into technical solutions and ensure proper documentation is prepared.
  • Maintain source-code discipline and version control across all parties involved in development.
  • Create test plans, test cases, and technical/functional documentation in line with the organisation’s chosen methods.
  • Stay current on modern application and web technologies, including security-related developments.
  • Help document, refine, and enforce development standards, processes, and protocols.
  • Design, build, and support SharePoint solutions that improve collaboration, workflow automation, and document handling.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support analytics and informed decision-making.

Requirements

  • A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of programming experience in building and maintaining in-house and e-commerce web/mobile applications.
  • Experience with one or more of these technologies: C#.Net, ASP.Net (MVC), Web API, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery, React, and Bash scripting.
  • Practical experience in SharePoint development and administration.
  • Hands-on ability in Power BI dashboard development and data modelling.
  • Prior exposure to cross-platform mobile app development such as Xamarin, React Native, or similar tools is an added advantage.
  • Experience working with MS-SQL, MySQL, and Oracle/Postgres databases.
  • Background in e-commerce, CMS, ERP, and CRM platforms, including integration with payment and logistics gateways.
  • Experience deploying applications in cloud-hosted environments and working with cloud architecture.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Visual Studio, MS DevOps, Jira, Git, Bitbucket, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of UX/UI principles, SEO basics, and cross-browser compatibility considerations.
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder-management skills, with clear communication abilities.
  • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English.
