Role overview

Gulf Associates is hiring an Associate Frontend Engineer to help build internal tools and technical interfaces that support its commercial advisory work. The role is centered on creating user-facing web experiences that help partners and decision makers understand investment scenarios, partnership structures, and market dynamics. You will work in a small, focused team supporting active advisory engagements, including a current logistics client evaluating entry points and joint ventures.

What you'll work on

• Develop and update interfaces that display financial models and partnership information for senior stakeholders.
• Convert commercial reasoning into practical web components that reflect live market conditions.
• Collaborate with senior partners to understand the visualization needs of the logistics engagement.
• Keep frontend code structured and dependable so internal tools can be used during negotiations and capital deployment stages.
• Join remote check-ins to stay aligned with firm priorities and client timelines.
• Create visual scenario views that help clients assess competitor and counterparty behavior.
• Test new features to confirm they fit the needs of commercial advisory workflows.
• Document technical work clearly so the wider advisory team can use and understand it.

What we're looking for

• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Exposure to a modern frontend framework such as React or Vue through studies, personal work, or internships.
• Good visual judgment and the ability to present complex data in a way that non-technical users can understand.
• Interest in commercial problem-solving and how technology supports investment decisions.
• Clear and concise written communication for documentation and internal team messaging.
• Self-discipline and comfort working remotely without in-person supervision.
• Ability to take feedback from senior partners and turn it into workable technical changes.
• Familiarity with Git or similar version control tools in a distributed team setup.
