The Opportunity
An opening is available for an enthusiastic and dependable Cleaner to work at a retail location. The position suits someone who enjoys a busy setting, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in keeping spaces clean, safe, and pleasant for both clients and visitors.
This is a full-time role with the following schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:54 AM to 6:00 PM. Pay will follow the relevant award rates.
Key Duties
- Carry out routine cleaning tasks to a consistently high standard.
- Clean upholstered or furnished areas using spot-cleaning methods.
- Sweep and mop floors as required.
- Clean toilet areas thoroughly.
- Collect and remove rubbish.
- Clean glass surfaces on both the inside and outside.
- Dust hard surfaces throughout the site.
About You
- Previous cleaning experience, particularly in a commercial environment, will be an advantage.
- You should be able to work well as part of a team.
- You must be comfortable following instructions and also working independently when needed.
- Strong attention to detail is important.
- Good customer service skills are required.
- You need to be dependable and punctual.
- A solid understanding of workplace health and safety practices is expected.
- Flexibility to work outside standard hours and on public holidays may be required.
- Experience using floor care equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, or sweepers would be beneficial.
