Role Summary

The position involves setting up and operating diverse machine tools to manufacture precision parts and instruments. Responsibilities extend to precision instrument fabrication, modification, or repair, as well as producing parts necessary for machine tool maintenance or industrial machinery overhaul through a solid grasp of mechanics, mathematics, metallurgy, layouts, and machining techniques.

Responsibilities

• Operate basic machine tools and equipment to perform routine production tasks.
• Manage daily operational activities adhering to established procedures and standards.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and repair tasks by preparing and support activities.
• Adhere to mandatory health, safety, and environmental guidelines to ensure the safety of self and colleagues.
• Follow quality standards and comply with both external regulations and internal policies through straightforward procedural compliance.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, and depth gauges effectively.
• Read and interpret technical blueprints and geometric tolerances accurately.
• Communicate courteously and effectively with colleagues to facilitate information exchange.
• Understand and align with organizational policies and procedures under supervisory guidance.
• Perform additional tasks as delegated.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrate clear and effective verbal communication to convey ideas and requests.
• Plan, organize, and prioritize work activities efficiently with guidance to meet business goals.
• Apply fundamental health and safety practices to ensure a safe working environment.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years hands-on machining experience within manufacturing or repair settings, operating manual lathes, milling machines, or CNC lathes/mills.
• Hold a High School Diploma or GED with 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
