We're seeking motivated professionals to join our Compliance team in New York City.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the entire internal compliance and regulatory testing process, establishing and enforcing protocols for national brand products.
- Stay updated on evolving retailer compliance regulations and industry trends to implement necessary changes effectively.
- Define compliance criteria for new product launches and categories, providing expert technical and regulatory advice internally and externally.
- Oversee production testing, coordinating submissions to third-party laboratories such as UL, ensuring samples, applications, and documentation are properly prepared and tracked.
- Manage timelines for testing processes, proactively addressing delays or complications in collaboration with vendors and international teams, including China-based factories.
- Investigate product test failures, identify root causes with overseas factories, and develop corrective action plans (CAP) for client approval, ensuring execution of these plans.
- Administer the annual production testing schedule for replenishment products, maintaining testing trackers and meeting compliance deadlines consistently.
- Handle customer complaints related to compliance from retailers and buyers, facilitating corrective documentation and communications with account managers and internal stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of five years’ experience in quality assurance, compliance management, or product testing within consumer goods sectors such as housewares or electronics.
- Proven familiarity with compliance requirements from major national retailers like Walmart, Target, and Amazon.
- Demonstrated expertise in leading corrective action (CAPA) processes and working alongside recognized testing agencies including UL, SGS, and Intertek.
- Excellent organizational capabilities with proficiency in data management tools, including advanced Excel skills.
- Strong communication aptitude for coordinating with factories and cross-functional internal teams.
- Detail-focused mindset with exceptional problem solving skills and the ability to manage multiple active timelines and follow-ups.
