We are a multi-generational construction company based in Northern California, specializing in preconstruction, design-build, and general contracting. Our team actively engages in every phase of each project, from initial concept through to final delivery. Estimating is critical to our overall project success.

Role Overview

As a Construction Estimator, you'll work on a variety of commercial projects where your evaluations directly influence company strategies and project acquisitions. You will be part of a collaborative preconstruction team that interfaces closely with ownership and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed takeoffs and create cost estimates for commercial, institutional, and mixed-use projects.
• Prepare budgets and manage coordination of subcontractor bids to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
• Apply conceptual estimating and value engineering techniques to optimize project costs and value.
• Analyze construction plans and specifications with strong attention to detail.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of three years' experience in estimating or preconstruction roles.
• Proven experience with commercial, institutional, or mixed-use project pricing.
• Demonstrated ability in takeoffs, budgeting, and subcontractor bid coordination.
• Comfortable working with construction drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of conceptual estimating and value engineering methods.

Additional Information

This is a full-time position located onsite in Santa Cruz, CA. The estimated annual salary range for this role is between $140,000 and $180,000.
