Role Overview
The Creative Operations Specialist is key to ensuring smooth operational workflows for the In-Store and Print Creative team. Collaborating closely with the Creative Operations Associate Manager, this role supports briefing, planning, tracking, reviewing, and timely delivery of creative projects related to promotional, planogram, print, and ad hoc initiatives. The position acts as a vital liaison among Creative, Marketing, Merchandising, Photography, Production, and other functions to transform business needs into actionable workflows, manage project timelines, and maintain consistent communication throughout the creative process.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full creative operations lifecycle for In-Store and Print projects including intake, briefing, scheduling, proofing, and monitoring delivery progress.
- Review incoming creative requests for completion, gather necessary details, assign tasks appropriately, and alert management to any gaps or risks.
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules, status updates, and tracking reports to ensure all milestones and deadlines are transparently tracked and met.
- Coordinate daily project activities to ensure efficient transition through creative workflow stages.
- Facilitate communications between internal teams and cross-functional partners to enable seamless and efficient processes.
- Organize and support meetings such as status updates, kickoffs, planning sessions, and creative reviews, capturing decisions, feedback, action points, and follow-ups.
- Promote adherence to creative best practices, manage timing expectations, and uphold workflow standards across stakeholders.
- Identify and escalate risks related to timelines, resourcing, or other challenges promptly to leadership.
- Maintain accurate usage of creative operations tools such as Workfront, Monday.com, and Microsoft Office for project tracking and documentation.
- Contribute to process improvements by assisting in the development and refinement of workflows, templates, calendars, and standard operating procedures.
- Help organize and preserve creative documentation, resources, and best practice materials.
- Collaborate closely with Creative, Photography, Production, Marketing, and Merchandising teams to ensure projects are properly scoped, resourced, and executed.
- Foster a collaborative, detail-oriented, and solution-focused team culture supporting high performance.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Design, Project Management, Business, or related disciplines, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum two years’ experience in creative operations, project management, trafficking, production coordination, or creative services.
- Working knowledge of collaborating with creative, marketing, merchandising, photography, or production teams.
- Preferred familiarity with in-store marketing, print production, promotional creative, planogram workflows, or physical channel deliverables.
- Excellent organizational skills to juggle multiple projects, timelines, and shifting priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities coupled with a collaborative approach.
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration platforms such as Workfront, Monday.com, Figma, and Microsoft Office including PowerPoint.
- Detail-conscious, proactive problem solver who remains composed, adaptable, and structured in dynamic environments.
- Passion for creative quality, operational discipline, and supporting effective creative teams.
Compensation and Benefits
This full-time position offers an annual salary range of $57,300 to $78,000, alongside eligibility for additional compensation through the company's bonus plan. Exact salary determination will consider education, experience, certifications, level, shift, location, and organizational factors.
