Job Summary
The Data Analyst role within the Banking and Financial Services division is designed to support data-driven initiatives related to banking operations and financial reporting. This position involves examining financial data, uncovering business trends, and delivering insights that facilitate strategic planning, improve operational efficiency, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, verify, and analyze datasets from banking and financial sources.
- Create reports and dashboards to track financial results and operational performance.
- Detect patterns, risks, and growth opportunities using advanced data analysis techniques.
- Work collaboratively with teams from business, finance, compliance, and technology departments.
- Maintain data quality, consistency, and compliance with company standards.
- Compile and communicate analytical outcomes clearly to business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Finance, IT, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
- Three to four years of professional experience as a Data Analyst in banking, financial services, or comparable industries.
- Proficient in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and familiar with data visualization software.
- Hands-on experience managing financial data, generating reports, and supporting business analytics.
- Strong analytical capabilities paired with effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with business intelligence platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Understanding of financial reporting, risk management, and regulatory frameworks.
- Basic programming knowledge in Python or R for data processing and automation purposes.
- Experience handling substantial financial datasets and working with SQL databases.
- Relevant certifications like Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Tableau Desktop Specialist, or Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate are advantageous.
