As Prolific expands, ensuring a vibrant and sustainable participant marketplace is essential. The Data Analyst will lead analytics efforts across the participant lifecycle including acquisition, onboarding, activation, engagement, quality assurance, retention, and reactivation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and experimentation frameworks using SQL and Python to analyze participant behavior and marketplace dynamics.
• Collaborate closely with teams such as Product, Operations, Growth, and Data Science to identify improvement opportunities and execute data-driven experiments.
• Translate complex marketplace data into understandable insights that promote participant health, liquidity, and longevity of supply.

Required Expertise and Qualifications

• Advanced skills in SQL and Python (including pandas, experiment analysis, and automation).
• Proven experience creating scalable reporting frameworks with BI tools like Metabase, Looker, or Tableau.
• Strong background in lifecycle analytics encompassing user acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, churn, and behavioral cohorts.
• Expertise in designing and analyzing A/B or operational experiments with solid statistical and causal inference skills.
• Product-focused mindset capable of framing marketplace challenges into measurable hypotheses and actionable insights.
• Commercial insight linking operational metrics to financial outcomes (revenue, margins, etc.).
• Ability to work independently, define priorities in a fast-paced setting, and drive projects from problem identification to solution implementation.
• Skilled in stakeholder communication and management across Product, Operations, Commercial, and Finance sectors.
• Understanding of B2B and two-sided marketplace economics and metrics.
• Clear and concise communication skills able to convey complex data analyses into effective business recommendations.
