Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyse, and establish data and modelling requirements to support business needs.
  • Document and map existing data systems including sources, feeds, tables, extracts, codebases, and reporting methods.
  • Evaluate current data assets, processes, logic, and repositories to determine their relevance for the unified common data model.
  • Examine SAS, SQL, and related code to understand existing logic, identify gaps, assumptions, and dependencies.
  • Assist in the validation and testing of datasets, business logic, data transformations, reconciliation processes, and model outputs ensuring they meet quality and accuracy standards.
  • Maintain detailed documentation such as process flow maps, data lineage records, dictionaries, decision logs, and traceability.
  • Translate business, modelling, and regulatory requirements into actionable data specifications, design choices, and implementation-ready deliverables.

Candidate Profile

Experience with banking products, balance sheet data, customer/account structures, and data flow within banking, finance, treasury, risk, regulatory, and reporting systems is essential.

Required experience and skills include:

  • Capability to interpret code, repositories, documentation, process materials, and business rules to decipher current state logic.
  • Skills to assess whether existing data sources, processes, and controls are appropriate for future modelling and regulatory reporting.
