Database Administrator

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our dynamic and responsible team focused on delivering enterprise-level software solutions for both local and international markets. This position involves overseeing, enhancing, and securing critical database systems to ensure high availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor health, availability, and performance of SQL databases.
• Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies for data protection.
• Configure and manage SQL Server environments, including installation and patches.
• Administer database security policies, user permissions, and compliance requirements.
• Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks such as query tuning and indexing.
• Deploy high availability architectures including Always On availability groups, replication, and clustering.
• Automate regular database operations like backups and monitoring tasks.
• Manage database provisioning and lifecycle within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Setup and maintain Data Guard configurations in OCI for disaster recovery.
• Establish automated backup protocols and manage resource scalability in cloud.
• Utilize OCI monitoring, alarm, logging, and diagnostic tools to ensure system health.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 4 years' professional experience in SQL Server database administration.
• Familiarity with MongoDB database systems is preferred.
• Hands-on expertise with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure database management.
• Demonstrated skills in performance tuning, optimization, and high availability setups.
• Proficient with database cloud operations including provisioning, scaling, and monitoring.
• Experience using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) or similar tools.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Azure Database Administrator or OCI certifications are advantageous.

Technical Skillset

• SQL Server technologies, including T-SQL, SSMS, Always On, replication, and clustering.
• MongoDB features such as Atlas platform, replica sets, sharding, and backup/restore processes.
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, Data Guard configurations, and lifecycle management tools.
• Monitoring utilities like SQL Profiler, SolarWinds, MMS, Nagios, or Zabbix.
• Backup solutions including SQL Server Backup, MongoDB Backup, Veeam, and related tools.
• Scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash for automation tasks.
• Operating systems knowledge: Windows Server and Linux environments.
