What you'll do
- Prepare customer orders across fresh food areas, including sandwiches, rolls, hot food portions, and sliced meats, while following portion-control guidelines.
- Cook, present, and replenish food items throughout the day.
- Keep all fresh food counters looking clean, full, and to the highest standard at all times.
- Share product knowledge, food ideas, recipes, and recommendations to enhance the customer experience.
- Handle customer questions promptly, professionally, and in line with store procedures.
- Work in a way that reflects the Centra brand values: Proud, Energetic, Imaginative, and Community-Based.
Candidate profile
- HACCP training would be an advantage, though it is not essential.
- Strong communication skills are important.
- Previous experience in customer service would be beneficial.
- You should be comfortable working as part of a team in a busy, high-pressure environment and able to manage several tasks at once.
- A genuine interest in food and the ability to engage and inspire shoppers is expected.
