Role Overview
As a Deployment Analyst based in Columbus, Ohio, you will play a key role in managing inventory deployment to optimize sales and profitability in a retail environment. This contract position operates Monday through Friday with the potential to extend beyond six months and requires onsite presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement pre-season and in-season inventory deployment strategies aimed at enhancing store inventory levels, sales growth, and profit margins.
- Analyze demand patterns, inventory status, and sales data to align financial and operational plans effectively.
- Create and apply inventory deployment plans that maximize sales, improve margin outcomes, and boost inventory productivity.
- Collaborate with Merchandise Planning & Allocation teams across various business segments to support inventory programs using insightful reporting and comprehensive data analysis.
- Engage in floorset planning, demand and inventory forecasting, and size-selling analysis to uncover merchandising opportunities.
- Continuously refine deployment strategies and identify assortment improvements based on ongoing business intelligence and performance metrics.
- Conduct detailed store-level inventory analysis and respond actively to allocation requests and inventory inquiries from stakeholders.
- Work closely with both domestic and international cross-functional teams to bolster inventory planning and deployment efforts.
- Establish and maintain robust relationships with franchise partners and internal teams to support shared goals.
- Produce both recurring and customized reports that assist in informed business decisions and efficient inventory management.
- Spot opportunities to enhance current reporting, allocation, and deployment workflows through data-driven innovations.
- Lead store and size-level inventory optimization strategies across different regions and markets.
- Contribute to special projects and additional business initiatives as needed.
Candidate Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in merchandise planning, inventory deployment, allocation, or demand planning, ideally within retail sectors.
- Experience working with international retail markets is desirable.
- Proficient analytical, statistical, and quantitative problem-solving skills.
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel required.
- Familiarity with allocation and merchandising platforms such as JDA Allocation, MSI (MicroStrategy), SAP, Manugistics, or Salesforce is preferred.
- Experience managing a merchandise category or an inventory deployment strategy.
- Knowledge of inventory forecasting, size optimization, and assortment planning techniques.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities in fast-paced environments effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to collaborate across global teams.
- Self-driven, adaptable, and capable of working independently while contributing to a cooperative team environment.
- Strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- A keen interest in continuous improvement and the aptitude to quickly learn new systems and procedures.
- A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
