Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and engineering efforts focused on mining products, ensuring projects meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Create and update 3D models and comprehensive drawings with SolidWorks.
- Develop production drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and related technical documentation.
- Review and verify 2D and 3D designs for accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain design integrity and adhere to customer and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct design assessments, perform fundamental mechanical calculations, and validate drawings.
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and operational performance.
- Collaborate with production, procurement, and quality teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Offer technical assistance to fabrication, assembly, and onsite teams, including troubleshooting support.
- Drive product standardization, ongoing improvements, and value engineering initiatives.
- Manage large assembly projects efficiently while ensuring data management and safety standards are upheld.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech or B.E.) is mandatory.
- Possess 7 to 11 years of experience designing and developing large industrial machinery.
- Strong proficiency with SolidWorks, including 3D modeling, detailed drawing, and assembly management.
- Good understanding of mining machinery such as thickeners, clarifiers, and thickener drives.
- Familiarity with analysis software is advantageous.
- Comprehensive knowledge of product engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Well-versed in engineering standards and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Skilled at handling complex assemblies and managing design data effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in teams.
