Role Overview

The Development Analyst plays a critical role in overseeing the entire development process by enhancing transparency, coordination, and operational discipline within development teams. This position ensures sustained progress by monitoring milestones, unearthing risks, facilitating decision-making processes, and guaranteeing alignment across functions throughout the product lifecycle. While not a technical decision-maker, the analyst must understand development workflows, engineering dependencies, and manufacturing processes well enough to support escalations and execution effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and update development timelines, milestone tracking tools, and project status dashboards.
  • Monitor progress on all ongoing development launches.
  • Detect timeline risks, bottlenecks, and delayed dependencies.
  • Escalate critical blockers following established governance procedures.
  • Prepare updates on development status and organize meeting materials.
  • Manage and oversee stone inventory requirements, including requests, work order creation and cleanup, bill of material setup, and purchase order processes.
  • Support tracking for stage-gate readiness, ensuring all necessary approvals and deliverables are secured before milestone transitions.
  • Maintain centralized records of development decisions and assist in standardizing reporting, templates, and workflow processes.
  • Enhance process transparency and accountability throughout development.
  • Collaborate closely with teams such as Product Marketing, Design, JDIW, Industrial, Planning, GA/DD, and external suppliers to meet business needs.
  • Coordinate information flow across teams effectively.
  • Ensure timely completion of milestone handoffs within development phases.
  • Track action items and ownership from meetings, ensuring follow-up on open dependencies.
  • Support problem-solving through structured escalation mechanisms.
  • Monitor development plans vigilantly for scheduling risks and identify missing details, unresolved dependencies, or priority conflicts.
  • Promptly escalate issues threatening timelines or deliverables and work with PD Manager, Director, and engineering leads to evaluate impacts.
  • Develop sufficient fluency in jewelry development lifecycle, technical workflows, prototype development, supplier dependencies, and readiness milestones to recognize operational risks and efficiently coordinate activities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant domain such as Project Management, Business, Merchandising, Industrial, or Process Engineering.
  • At least two years of Development or Project Management experience related to the role.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong project development skills.
  • Excellent team collaboration capabilities.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable discussing technical subjects and competent in intermediate Excel usage on a daily basis.
  • Knowledge of the physical aspects of product creation processes.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with jewelry manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with project management and collaboration software systems.
