Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Electrical Engineer specialized in design to join our engineering team in the UAE. The role requires leading key electrical design projects from initial concepts through detailed plans, ensuring adherence to industry and client standards, and fostering innovative design solutions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire electrical design process for a range of construction and infrastructure projects.
• Lead and manage the performance of the engineering team by providing clear goals, regular feedback, and task assignments to meet project design requirements.
• Contribute to departmental action plans and support continuous development of the section.
• Organize and participate in project coordination meetings involving clients and multi-disciplinary teams, maintaining communication with line and project managers.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and functions to validate work outputs.
• Create project concepts, develop designs and refine existing data to satisfy client needs.
• Collect necessary information for preparing presentations, drawings, and documentation.
• Clarify design details, review tender documents before design initiation, and plan design activities accordingly.
• Generate and maintain departmental reports, conduct filing of correspondence, prepare progress updates, meeting minutes, and handle project-related communications.
• Monitor project financial aspects in collaboration with project managers and the finance department.
• Ensure alignment with client standards and departmental design codes while executing assigned tasks.
• Deliver value engineering solutions to improve designs and reduce costs, considering factors like cost, safety, and schedules.
• Offer technical guidance to enhance team performance and work quality based on directives from section leadership.

Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Between 7 and 12 years of experience in electrical design for building projects.
• Strong expertise in building design, especially within UAE building codes across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and Sharjah, and familiarity with international standards.
• Proficient in using Revit software and mandatory experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM).
• Experience handling large-scale infrastructure or industrial electrical projects is essential.
• Fluent English communication skills are required; Arabic proficiency is considered an advantage.
