ETP Incharge

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The ETP Incharge will manage and oversee the Effluent Treatment Plant operations ensuring adherence to established standard operating procedures. The incumbent will be responsible for the correct collection, treatment, and disposal of industrial wastewater while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

• Manage operation and oversight of pumps, blowers, agitators, clarifiers, filters, and other plant equipment.
• Monitor key process parameters including pH, TDS, flow rates, pressure, and chemical dosages.
• Prepare and dose chemicals required for wastewater treatment processes according to plant needs.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities on ETP machinery to sustain smooth operations.
• Maintain detailed documentation such as daily logbooks, shift reports, chemical usage, and water quality analysis.
• Collect influent and effluent samples for laboratory testing to verify treatment efficacy.
• Ensure treated water meets the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and State Pollution Control Board (SPCB) standards prior to discharge or reuse.
• Immediately report equipment malfunctions, abnormal process conditions, or deviations to the appropriate authorities.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping within the ETP premises.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during all chemical handling and operational tasks.
• Assist during environmental audits, inspections, and preparation of compliance documentation.
• Support sludge management activities including handling, dewatering, storage, and legal disposal as per regulatory standards.
• Contribute to minimizing water wastage and optimizing the consumption of chemicals to improve plant efficiency.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure seamless ETP functioning.
• Ensure compliance with the organization's environmental policies and applicable legal requirements.
• Carry out additional duties assigned by the Plant Head or senior ETP personnel.
