Park Paving Ltd. is a well-established, locally owned company in Edmonton, Alberta, specialized in road construction for over 50 years. We are currently seeking a skilled Grades Person to join our Excavation Services team in a full-time seasonal position that offers competitive compensation along with benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret grades and general survey data, with the capability to accurately read and understand construction drawings.
• Support operators during excavation operations by monitoring progress and providing safe guidance to navigate around utilities and obstacles.
• Deliver precise cut and fill instructions following site removals to ensure correct grading.
• Read and interpret grade stakes, offset hubs, and conduct relevant measurements.
• Identify and distinguish between various grade markings and measurement points.
• Organize the setup of barricades and signage around excavation areas to maintain safety.
• Endure physically demanding work hours, including the possibility of prolonged and overtime shifts.
• Assist with equipment inspections before and after trips and contribute to routine maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications and Conditions

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, free from major infractions.
• Ability to pass a medical/fitness examination as part of employment conditions.
• Strong capacity to work under pressure, physically demanding conditions, exhibiting excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills.
