Role Overview
The full-time exterminator position based in the Greater Edmonton Metropolitan Area involves visiting various properties to evaluate and address pest infestations. Daily activities include inspecting both indoor structures and outdoor areas, identifying pest species and infestation severity, applying suitable treatments, and deploying integrated pest management strategies to mitigate future issues. Accurate documentation of findings and maintaining service records are essential. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, environmental standards, and regulatory compliance. Effective communication with customers is critical to explain treatment procedures and provide advice for pest prevention. The job demands working outdoors in various weather conditions, responsible handling of equipment and chemicals, and collaboration with colleagues to resolve complex pest problems.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in pest control techniques including integrated pest management and understanding relevant regulations.
- Strong communication skills for customer interaction and teamwork.
- Basic knowledge of lawn care practices to assist in outdoor pest control and property upkeep.
