Freight Broker - US Logistics

Overview

Treknex Logistics LLP is seeking a Freight Broker specializing in US logistics to join our team based in Mohali. This full-time, permanent role involves working US shift hours from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM IST in a hybrid work setting. Experience between 2 to 5 years in the logistics domain is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage drayage operations efficiently.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of Over-the-Road (OTR), Full Truckload (FTL), and Less-than-Truckload (LTL) transportation methods.
• Oversee dispatch operations and coordinate shipments throughout the supply chain.
• Negotiate competitive freight rates with shippers and carriers to maximize profitability.
• Track and monitor loads, resolving any issues related to shipment transit.
• Prepare and maintain freight documentation such as Rate Confirmations, Proof of Delivery (POD), and invoices.
• Ensure compliance with US transportation and freight regulations.
• Build and maintain relationships through excellent communication, negotiation, and cold-calling skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Possess an existing network of shippers and carriers in the US logistics sector.
• Experience in lead generation and business development activities.
• Familiarity with freight billing and invoicing processes.
