About the Role
The Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee and manage daily housekeeping activities on guest floors or public areas to ensure exceptional cleanliness standards are met. They support the Assistant Executive Housekeepers and Executive Housekeepers in departmental planning and workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively direct both supervisory and non-supervisory housekeeping staff to provide prompt, polite service to guests and internal departments.
- Regularly inspect public spaces and floors to confirm that furnishings, facilities, and equipment are clean, well-maintained, and replaced or refurbished as needed. When assigned to floors, pay special attention to rooms occupied by VIP, VVIP, and frequent guests to ensure they meet the hotel's quality standards.
- Collaborate with other housekeeping sections and hotel departments regarding matters influencing the hotel's physical condition and room readiness; communicate updates and follow up on outstanding issues such as repairs.
- Assist the Assistant Executive Housekeepers in recruitment, performance management, identifying training needs, and developing and executing training plans.
- Conduct monthly training sessions to meet the ongoing development needs of existing housekeeping staff.
- Ensure routine inspections are carried out by supervisors covering all housekeeping areas, including occupied and unoccupied rooms.
- Manage usage of cleaning supplies and amenities to comply with budgetary limits, and oversee appropriate use of equipment and tools.
- Support monitoring of housekeeping procedures, including Lost and Found, Key Control, security, emergency protocols, and health and safety standards for employees and guests.
- Perform additional duties as required by hotel operations.
