Role Overview
The Human Resources Generalist position is pivotal in supporting both administrative and strategic HR functions to enhance organizational performance. Responsibilities encompass managing employee benefits, recruitment processes, policy advisory, and overall workforce productivity improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as an intermediary between management and employees by addressing inquiries, interpreting employment contracts, and assisting in resolving workplace issues.
- Provide guidance to managers on organizational policies, including compliance with equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment regulations.
- Organize and facilitate orientation sessions for newly hired employees.
- Assist the HR management team by collating necessary documentation and supporting disciplinary and dispute resolution processes.
Required Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication, meticulous attention to detail, exceptional customer service, and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to operate autonomously and effectively manage time.
- Familiarity with legal frameworks relating to recruitment practices such as equal employment opportunity and affirmative action.
- Understanding of employee benefits and compensation structures.
- Proficiency in commonly used computer software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent practical experience is mandatory.
- Between zero to two years of relevant HR experience required.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers an hourly pay range of $26 to $28. Employees classified as non-exempt qualify for overtime pay at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate for hours exceeding 40 per week.
