Inventory Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Inventory Manager (Buyer/Planner) to handle demand forecasting, inventory management, and order receipt coordination for 7 to 12 brands. Success in this position involves effective brand partnership communication and management, optimizing weeks of supply and inventory turns, achieving accurate sales forecasts, and maintaining high in-stock rates. Consistent forecast updates, weekly order assessments, and innovative problem-solving approaches are key to fulfilling these goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and revise short-term demand forecasts and manage weekly orders for multiple brands.
• Develop medium to long-term ordering strategies spanning 3, 6, and 9 months for assigned brands.
• Provide brands with monthly sales and receipt forecast analyses after consultations with brand managers.
• Coordinate with brand management to align inventory strategies and ordering processes.
• Critically assess deviations from forecasts, understand their causes, and offer corrective solutions.
• Lead discussions with brand teams to address forecasting and supply chain challenges.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in supply and demand planning and/or buying roles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables.
• Operational strategic planning experience and familiarity with ERP systems.
• Excellent organizational skills to balance forecasting tasks and calendar management.
• Understanding of retail key performance indicators.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
