Job Description

We are seeking a Janitor responsible for comprehensive cleaning and upkeep of designated indoor environments at specific buildings or multiple client locations. The job duties are varied and require flexibility to meet client specifications effectively.

Work Schedule & Compensation

• Hourly wage: $13
• Work hours: Monday through Sunday, 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Primary Duties

• Clean and maintain floor surfaces by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming as needed
• Operate chemical cleaning agents and powered equipment according to established protocols to protect floors and furnishings
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entry areas
• Dispose of trash appropriately and utilize compactors when necessary
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using proper cleaning supplies and tools
• Perform spot cleaning on carpets and assist with carpet extraction and shampooing
• Restock paper products and sanitary materials regularly
• Adhere to daily housekeeping schedules
• Occasionally operate industrial cleaning machines, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers
• Complete any additional assignments related to the scope of work or customer requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent, or at least six months of experience in janitorial work
• Capability to learn job-specific skills through on-the-job training
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions accurately

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning or janitorial duties
• Knowledge of custodial best practices and commercial cleaning standards
• Familiarity with floor care processes including buffing and waxing
• Background in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is an advantage
