Position Overview

We are looking to grow our team with a Junior Front-End Developer who is enthusiastic about learning and working collaboratively in a remote-first setting. This role involves supporting the design, development, and upkeep of contemporary web applications and user interfaces alongside our experienced developers, designers, and product team.

Key Responsibilities

• Create responsive and mobile-friendly web pages using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Contribute to building reusable UI components and interactive interfaces.
• Transform UI/UX designs into clean, functional, and responsive applications.
• Ensure optimal speed, performance, and usability of websites and apps.
• Test and verify compatibility across various browsers and devices.
• Identify and solve front-end bugs and performance challenges.
• Maintain and enhance existing web applications with new features and fixes.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and report progress effectively.
• Write well-documented, clean, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Stay updated with emerging front-end technologies and industry trends.
• Engage in continuous learning through training and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications and Technical Skills

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or relevant fields.
• Up to two years experience in front-end or web development (including internships, freelance, or personal projects).
• Proficient with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+).
• Familiarity with React.js, Vue.js, or Angular frameworks.
• Understanding of responsive CSS frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and browser developer tools for debugging.
• Basic grasp of web accessibility, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with personal or academic front-end projects.
• Knowledge of TypeScript and state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Context API, Pinia).
• Experience using design collaboration tools like Figma.
• Familiarity with build tools such as Vite, Webpack, npm, or Yarn.
• Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies.
