Role overview
We are hiring a Junior Logistics Buyer to support logistics procurement for domestic power projects across India. This role focuses on helping source and coordinate logistics partners so that materials and equipment move on time and within budget to support project delivery.
What you will do
- Help identify, assess, and engage logistics vendors for transporting and delivering project materials.
- Support senior buyers in preparing and sending RFQs, RFPs, and tenders for logistics-related services.
- Compare supplier quotations and assist with cost reviews to keep spending aligned with budget limits.
- Monitor purchase orders and ensure they are processed correctly and documented accurately for logistics activities.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and logistics partners on shipping plans, routes, and delivery schedules.
- Check that all shipping and logistics paperwork follows regulatory rules and company procedures.
- Use clear verbal and written communication to work effectively with vendors and internal teams.
- Work with ERP systems such as SAP, logistics management applications, and MS Office tools.
Required profile
- Ability to support supplier evaluation and logistics vendor coordination.
- Experience or familiarity with procurement processes, quotation comparison, and tendering activities.
- Strong attention to detail for purchase order tracking and documentation control.
- Understanding of logistics coordination, shipping timelines, and delivery planning.
- Good communication skills for day-to-day collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
- Comfort using SAP/ERP platforms, logistics tools, and Microsoft Office applications.

This position is based in Barasat-I, West Bengal, India and is a full-time onsite role. The work is focused on logistics procurement for domestic power projects in India.
