About the company

Role overview
This is a 12-month fixed-term laboratory position based in Penrose, supporting the Product Development team. The role suits a science graduate with a chemistry background who enjoys hands-on lab work, product evaluation, and collaborating on building product improvements.
What you will do
- Mix and prepare laboratory formulations for development work.
- Source and ready raw materials and plasterboard samples for testing.
- Carry out physical and performance testing on compounds and finished products.
- Document, review, and communicate laboratory results.
- Help compare products against competitor offerings for benchmarking purposes.
- Assist with field trials and broader product development initiatives.
- Keep laboratory records and supporting documents accurate and up to date.
About you
The ideal candidate is likely a recent graduate and preferably has at least 1 year of experience in laboratory support. You should have a Bachelor’s degree in Science, with Chemistry as the preferred major, along with practical knowledge of applied chemistry and standard lab methods. Strong accuracy, organisation, numerical reasoning, problem-solving ability, clear communication, and confidence using Microsoft Office are also important.
