Role Overview
The Laboratory Technician will support clinical trial operations by managing documentation, conducting protocol-driven clinical assessments, performing laboratory tasks, and assisting Clinical Research Coordinators. All activities are performed under supervision aligned with Good Clinical Practices (GCP), International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) standards, HIPAA regulations, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with study participants, staff, and external sponsors or CRO representatives.
- Perform clinical duties such as phlebotomy, measuring vital signs, and conducting ECGs.
- Gather participant demographic, medical, and medication histories.
- Conduct safety assessments as required by protocols.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Clinical Operations, Clinical Research Coordinators, Sub-Investigators, and Principal Investigator.
- Input data into various Electronic Data Capture systems and address any arising queries promptly.
- Achieve targets set jointly with site leadership.
- Study and adhere to ERG's standard operating procedures and applicable policies and regulations.

Qualifications and Skills
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Background in medical environments, preferably with Medical Assistant or CNA certification or training.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements including GCP and ICH guidelines.
- Ability to adjust behavior and priorities in dynamic or uncertain environments.
- Strong organizational capabilities and interpersonal skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and clinical research software (e.g., Study Manager).
