Role Overview
The Consumer Brand team seeks a Strategy & Operations Lead to become the embedded operational partner within the Strategic Projects and Programs group. This role leads critical cross-department strategic projects, crafts and manages planning cycles, and ensures governance and program execution across Consumer Brand initiatives.
The position involves close collaboration with senior marketing leadership to identify challenges, guide decision-making, and drive priority projects spanning brand campaigns, partnerships, and health strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate and fully manage major cross-functional strategic efforts tied to brand campaigns, partnerships, architecture, and measurement modernization.
- Develop and implement operational planning frameworks, including monthly, quarterly, annual, and campaign planning sessions, producing inputs, facilitating discussions, and synthesizing results for strategic decisions and resource forecasting.
- Lead governance processes and oversee program execution across various Consumer Brand departments, acting as the authoritative source for strategic context, workforce status, and planning rationale.
- Track progress across interlinked projects, ensuring accountability and addressing priority conflicts proactively.
- Leverage AI tools to speed analysis, synthesis, and planning tasks by summarizing research inputs, shaping decision frameworks, and drafting planning documents while maintaining quality and responsibility.
- Collaborate extensively with Integrated Marketing, Brand Partnerships, Brand Research, Growth Marketing, and cross-functional teams such as Product, Sales, and Finance to align priorities and advance complex initiatives.
- Work effectively with creative teams to integrate their efforts into the broader brand strategy.
Qualifications
- At least 8 years in strategy, operations, or a related discipline with proven ability to independently spearhead complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience working directly in or alongside brand or consumer marketing teams, understanding campaign, partnership, and brand health measurement's connection to business outcomes.
- Proven skill in designing and implementing strategic planning systems, including mid-year and annual cycles, working closely with business management on headcount and budget investment forecasts.
- Comfort making timely, well-informed decisions even with incomplete information and when decisions may be unpopular.
- Demonstrated leadership in governance and project delivery across multiple teams without direct reporting authority.
- Experience mentoring peers in stakeholder engagement and strategic problem-solving.
- Proven use of AI to enhance analysis and planning, alongside strategies to maintain output quality and accountability.
- Excellent executive communication ability, capable of translating complexity into clear, actionable narratives for senior leadership, and candidness in difficult conversations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Additional Information
- This role does not provide relocation assistance.
- The position requires occasional in-person collaboration, approximately 1-2 times per quarter, and candidates should live within commuting distance of US hubs such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, or New York City.

Compensation
The salary range for US-based applicants is $120,321 to $247,718 USD annually, with eligibility for equity participation. Final compensation depends on factors including location, experience, and skills.
