Job Overview

The Planning Manager will oversee all facets of project planning, scheduling, and monitoring to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule. This role entails close collaboration with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to create comprehensive project plans, allocate resources, and identify potential risks with appropriate mitigation strategies. The Planning Manager will track progress, analyze performance data, and report to senior management while exhibiting leadership and strong communication capabilities under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic planning processes to guarantee effective project management and timely completion.
• Engage with key stakeholders to clearly define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Design detailed project schedules, budgets, and plans to monitor progress and resource allocation efficiently.
• Supervise project timelines and milestones, detect risks early, and implement mitigation plans.
• Conduct routine project status meetings to communicate updates, resolve issues, and adjust plans as needed.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project activities are aligned and integrated.
• Interpret project performance metrics to evaluate results, spot improvement areas, and enhance processes.
• Provide leadership to the planning team, promoting accountability, teamwork, and ongoing improvement.
• Keep updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to improve planning methods and tools.
• Ensure all planning activities adhere to regulatory, quality, and organizational policy standards.

Qualifications & Experience

The role requires a degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline coupled with 10 to 12 years of relevant planning and scheduling experience.
