About the Position

Join Amrize as a Mill Helper on the night shift and contribute to meaningful projects while advancing your career in a company committed to building North America. As part of the Stouffville site team, your role will involve cleaning, monitoring, and maintaining the Sand and Gravel Plant following Amrize's best practices and policies. You will also handle administrative duties related to equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a culture of safety by engaging with employees, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with Amrize and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain the plant and its surroundings to be safe, clean, and operational.
  • Collaborate with the Environmental Department to set and manage operational standards aimed at reducing environmental impact.
  • Operate and maintain assigned equipment according to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
  • Conduct daily inspections as part of the preventive maintenance program to schedule and ensure necessary maintenance is performed.
  • Clean the plant and equipment to remove material buildup caused by spills.
  • Participate in community events to support positive local relations.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned to assist plant and site operations.
  • Commit to communicating and adhering to all health, safety, and environmental policies, promoting safety culture throughout all work environments.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Canadian secondary school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with industrial plant operations and maintenance is advantageous.
  • Previous experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
  • Mechanical aptitude with specific training in mobile equipment, forklift, and skid steer operation.
  • Basic computer skills are beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills including action orientation, prioritization, problem solving, time management, and written communication.
