Planning Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Planning Manager with extensive experience in construction project planning and project controls to spearhead planning initiatives, enhance project performance, and facilitate successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones.
• Lead planning and project control activities across several construction projects simultaneously.
• Track project progress to identify delays and implement remedial measures.
• Perform critical path method analysis, resource allocation, and optimize schedules utilizing Primavera P6 software.
• Support project teams in delay assessments, claims handling, and addressing complex planning issues.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to maintain alignment and timely execution.
• Assist with budgeting processes, cost monitoring, cash flow forecasts, and resource distribution.
• Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Prepare and deliver progress updates, forecasts, and performance reports to senior management.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to planning teams, fostering continuous improvement and adherence to best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Minimum of 8 years of cumulative experience in project planning with at least 5 years in supervisory roles.
• Experience working in the GCC region is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as PMP or MMUP/UPDA Engineer Registration are beneficial.
• Advanced skills in Primavera P6 are required.
• In-depth understanding of project controls, scheduling, resource management, cash flow monitoring, and reporting techniques.
• Familiarity with SAP ERP systems is an advantage.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
