Principal Advisor (Program Performance)

About the Role

Become a key member of Transport and Main Roads in Cloncurry as a Principal Advisor for Program Performance. You will provide expert counsel to the District Director and leadership team, overseeing monitoring processes for projects and programs with a focus on timelines and budgeting. Your leadership in designing and applying business processes for project and program management will be vital, alongside coordinating project reviews to ensure effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and report on program and project performance, recognize financial savings potentials, and suggest corrective measures to enhance delivery results.
• Lead ongoing enhancements in project and program management systems, methodologies, operational processes, and reporting standards.
• Conduct project audits and reviews to assure compliance, uniformity, and robust governance across programs.
• Offer senior leaders strategic-level advice to guide QTRIP development aligned with both governmental and departmental priorities.
• Manage the District Program Board to facilitate well-informed decisions, planning, and program governance.
• Foster collaborative relationships and influence positive outcomes through subject matter expertise and stakeholder engagement.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Hold a current 'C' class driver's licence.
• Be able to complete a criminal background check.
• Show comprehensive knowledge of human resource systems and standards.
