About Mineralys Therapeutics

Mineralys Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing treatments for hypertension and related conditions, including chronic kidney disease (CKD), obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), and other disorders linked to abnormal aldosterone activity. Its lead candidate, lorundrostat, is a proprietary oral and highly selective aldosterone synthase inhibitor. The company is based in Radnor, Pennsylvania and operates as a fully remote organization.

Role Overview

The Procurement Specialist will own sourcing, procurement, and vendor management across the company, with emphasis on supporting scientific, clinical, and corporate functions. The position is central to maintaining efficient, compliant purchasing practices and will require close partnership with stakeholders across R&D, G&A, and Supply Chain to support business priorities and financial controls in a fast-growing public-company setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run the full procurement process from sourcing through negotiation, contracting, and vendor onboarding while staying aligned with company policies and SOX requirements.
  • Work with internal teams to define needs, uncover savings opportunities, and deliver procurement solutions that create lasting value.
  • Administer and improve procurement tools such as Tipalti and NetSuite to strengthen automation, reporting quality, and spend transparency.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Legal, and Compliance teams to make sure vendor agreements match corporate policy and risk controls.
  • Help design and refine procurement policies and operating procedures so they scale effectively and support strong governance.
  • Lead RFP and RFQ activities and manage competitive sourcing efforts with business stakeholders.
  • Develop close working relationships with scientific and clinical groups to anticipate future needs and keep procurement planning ahead of demand.
  • Deliver market insights and category-level benchmarking to guide strategic purchasing decisions.
  • Continuously improve procurement workflows, reduce costs, and lower supply chain risks.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong background in sourcing, procurement, and vendor management, ideally within life sciences.
  • Demonstrated skill in negotiation and contract administration.
  • Hands-on experience with procurement platforms, preferably Tipalti and NetSuite.
  • Ability to handle several complex priorities and projects in a regulated, high-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Good analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
  • Experience supporting procurement for R&D, clinical trials, and G&A activities.
  • High ethical standards and a strong commitment to compliance.
  • Capacity to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

Additional Requirements

This is largely a sedentary position. The employee will regularly need to speak and listen, and spend extended periods typing and working on a monitor or laptop. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.

The role requires up to 10% travel, including trips outside the local area and overnight travel.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Life Sciences, or a related discipline; an MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
  • 3 to 6 years of progressive procurement experience, including at least 2 to 3 years in life sciences.
  • Experience in a public-company environment with familiarity with SOX compliance.
  • Strong technical exposure to procurement systems such as Tipalti and ERP platforms like NetSuite.
  • Experience working with vendor risk management and partnering with Legal, Finance, and Compliance teams.

Benefits

Standard company benefits include medical, dental, vision, time off, and a 401(k). Participation in Mineralys incentive plans is tied to personal and company performance.

Compensation

The U.S. salary range for this role is $95,000 to $115,000. Final pay may differ depending on location, work history, education, and skill level.
