Position Summary
We are looking for a self-driven, energetic, well-organized team player to join our Building Design Group as a Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage AIA contracts across diverse projects including capital improvements, exterior rehabilitation, upgrades to building systems, forensic investigations, and interior remodeling.
- Lead or assist on multiple project phases such as Investigation and Planning, Budget Estimating, Contract Document Preparation, Bidding, Analysis and Negotiation, Municipal Filing, Construction Administration, and Project Close-out, ensuring adherence to budget.
- Handle medium to large-scale projects under guidance, coordinating all technical and administrative tasks to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to maintain high project standards while applying strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
- Independently manage documentation and design challenges for smaller projects with input from senior colleagues; prepare documents like meeting minutes, field and investigation reports, cost estimates, and timelines.
- Foster positive client relationships by attending meetings with clients, contractors, and consultants regularly, ensuring compliance with project plans, and proactively communicating issues to senior staff.
- Anticipate potential project challenges and actively contribute to finding and applying solutions.
- Stay updated on New York City building codes, including historic regulations.
- Spend 25% to 75% of the workweek on-site performing fieldwork.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in construction administration.
- Ability to independently manage workload, negotiate priorities, possess familiarity with construction processes, and a keen interest in existing building infrastructures.
- Experience working within the New York City construction industry is mandatory.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Expertise in project planning, estimating, scheduling, budget and cost control, preparation of construction documents, field observation, and managing client relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Bluebeam software.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills with an aptitude to train others and ensure the quality and thoroughness of their work.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $95,000 annually, working onsite.
