Job Overview
The Quality Operations Technician plays a critical role in operational problem-solving by providing solutions autonomously within established procedures and standards. This role demands diligent oversight of quality documentation, interaction across multiple teams, and active participation in audit preparations and facility monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main contact for craft supervisors regarding up-to-date standards, codes, technical publications, and inspection tools.
- Ensure inspection forms adhere to the standard format and are completed on a monthly basis.
- Maintain comprehensive quality records and relevant codes and standards documentation.
- Coordinate between the facility or vessel and the Administrative Office on the status of corrective actions.
- Support the establishment of processes to measure non-conformities impacting production metrics such as delays, unscheduled flights, and unnecessary vessel movements.
- Assist in audit preparations for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISM, and ISPS standards and facilitate corrective action register closures.
- Act as a point of escalation to help resolve quality-related facility issues promptly.
- Assist with tracking and analyzing facility and vessel Key Performance Indicators.
- Maintain various registers including ladders, below hook lifting devices, corrective action records, training logs, and material safety data sheets.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Completion of high school or equivalent qualification.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Organized, disciplined, and detailed-oriented with strong communication capabilities.
- Developed interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with operational management across the organization.
