Role Overview
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing quantity and cost measurement, handling variation claims, as well as budgeting and forecasting activities for the assigned project. The role also involves supporting Sub-Contract Managers with claim-related and estimation duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Track project expenses from start through to completion, delivering precise cost projections and comprehensive reports.
- Work closely with project teams to evaluate any alterations in project scope, updating cost estimates and budget allocations accordingly.
- Analyze and comprehend drawings and material take-offs from the company or contractors, demonstrating quantity surveying expertise across multiple disciplines including Structural, Piping, Electrical, Mechanical, Architectural, and Coating works.
- Conduct site inspections to confirm quantities and changes for remeasurement and variation claims.
- Prepare detailed cost reports and forecasts to provide transparency and insight into budget status and deviations.
Educational Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related disciplines is required.
Professional Experience
- Minimum of three years’ relevant quantity surveying experience in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Strong analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Competence in cost forecasting, reporting, proficient use of cost management software, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
