Position overview
The Sales Associate role focuses on representing the brand on the shop floor and driving store sales through strong customer engagement and a high-quality retail experience. The position also involves day-to-day operational support, including store upkeep and maintaining visual merchandising standards as directed by the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
Customer service
- Welcome shoppers, understand their needs, and guide them toward suitable products.
- Turn casual visitors into buyers through active selling support.
- Promote the company’s Club Apparel loyalty program to encourage repeat purchases.
- Deliver service in line with the company’s selling approach: GUEST — Greet, Understand, Explain, Sell, Thank.
- Stay informed about the group’s different brands so you can recommend products effectively.
Presentation and conduct
- Maintain a neat, professional, and well-groomed appearance at all times.
- Keep current product knowledge to support better customer recommendations and reduce stock loss.
- Be prepared to work longer hours during sale periods when required.
Merchandising and store operations
- Arrange and display stock neatly so it attracts customers and follows standard layout requirements.
- Follow visual merchandising guidelines and ensure clearance stock is managed according to company norms.
- Track incoming and outgoing inventory and keep accurate records.
- Operate the POS and billing counter efficiently.
- Count cash at the start and end of shifts and reconcile till balances.
- Issue receipts, refunds, and change accurately.
- Process payments through cash, cards, vouchers, and automatic debits.
- Stay alert to store security at all times and avoid negligence.
- Be willing to work different shifts and overtime based on business needs.
- Follow SOPs and loss prevention policies consistently.
- Keep sales figures confidential and do not share them with outside parties.
