Role Description

The Security Supervisor will oversee daily security functions and operations, ensuring safety and compliance with established procedures. Key responsibilities include managing the Security Control Room, monitoring CCTV, coordinating access control, conducting patrols within hotel premises, administrating visitor and casual labor management systems, and responding promptly to emergencies. The role requires regular attendance at pre- and post-shift briefings, use of company-issued equipment, participation in emergency response teams, and maintaining security system integrity by reporting faults.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to scheduled duty rosters and attend daily shift briefings.
• Utilize essential security devices including Mobitalk, Bluetooth, torchlight, and pocket mask during shifts.
• Manage the hotel's Security Control Room and day-to-day security operations.
• Accurately maintain official security documentation in line with SOPs.
• Control designated access points, ensuring all entries are authorized.
• Oversee check-in processes at pass counters for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Administer Visitor Management Systems and manage casual labor records for part-timers and casual workers.
• Monitor CCTV footage throughout the property and report anomalies.
• Conduct static security duties in lobby and convention center areas.
• Perform patrol rounds across guest floors, back-of-house zones, and hotel surroundings.
• Execute deployment-specific enforcement assignments.
• Ensure security equipment functionality and liaise with management for repairs.
• Coordinate nighttime colleague transportation services.
• Respond swiftly to security, safety, and medical emergencies requiring assistance.
• Participate as a member of the Hotel Emergency Action Team (HEAT) and Company Emergency Response Team (CERT).
• Conduct inventories of keys and access passes.
• Manage lost and found items, including reporting and inquiries.
• Provide VIP escort and elevator control services.
• Perform First Aid, CPR, and AED interventions as needed.
• Address safebox and door lock problems promptly.
• Carry out crowd control and ushering assignments.
• Document all relevant details when responding to incidents involving security, safety, and medical emergencies.
• Handle Fire & Life Saving System (FPLS) alarms and duress/emergency system alerts following SOPs.
• Maintain detailed familiarity with CCTV systems for investigation and training purposes.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess at least a GCE 'N' level certificate.
• Minimum of four years' supervisory experience in hotel security or private security law enforcement.
• Hold a valid Senior/Security Supervisor Officer Certification issued by local authorities.
• Certification in Company Emergency Response Team (CERT).
• Proficient in occupational CPR and AED usage.
• Basic Fire Fighting skills.
• Training in First Aid Management.
• Knowledgeable about Fire Prevention and Building Protection.
• Experienced in operating various Hotel Security Room systems.
• Skilled in self-defense techniques, report writing, verbal and written communication, investigative, and interrogation methods.
